Vineyard murder mystery costumes from your own closet
Nobody should have to buy anything to come to your party. Every character in The Last Harvest has a one-line costume note that works with what people already own. Here they are, with a little more help, so you can text guests a single sentence each.
The family
The Second Wife. Something silk. One large ring. If in doubt, the nicest thing in the closet and red lipstick.
The Heir Apparent. A vest, rolled sleeves, dirt under one nail. A flannel does the same job.
The Prodigal. Paint on the hands. Something borrowed. Wear a jacket that clearly belongs to someone else.
The Middle Child. A sensible coat. A rosary or a pen. Cardigan energy.
The Sibling. Something expensive and slightly wrong for the weather. Sunglasses at night, a linen suit in October.
The estate
The Winemaker. An apron over something nice. A corkscrew on a cord around the neck.
The Family Physician. A cardigan. Reading glasses on a cord. A leather bag if you have one.
The Critic. Sunglasses indoors. A notebook. All black.
The Confessor. Black, with a collar or a scarf worn like one.
The money
The Buyer. A suit jacket, no tie. Phone face down on the table all night.
The Estate Lawyer. A blazer. A leather folio or any folder held like it matters.
The Assistant. A lanyard. A pen behind the ear. The only one taking notes.
The table
Cream tablecloth if you have one, candles, the sealed envelopes stacked in the middle with number one on top. Grapes on the board. That is the whole set.
Any character can be played by anyone. The Conductor does not care what you are wearing. It has noticed, though.
